Yoga Infinity

Interview With Dusan Sevarika

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Well the brief was quite good and the name of the company was nice to work with. The idea was to make a simple symbol of a human figure moving its hands and leaving a trace in a form of infinity sign. It is also a play on a Y letter that is in the center of the design.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

For basic concept I used CorelDrawX3. Then I colorized it and stylized it in my own way in Adobe Illustrator CS3. In the end I made a simple layout in Adobe PhotoshopCS3.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

I started with reading creative brief. Then I got couple ideas that I instantly developed in my mind and I know how it is going to look in the end. I skipped the sketching process and started with CorelDrawX3. The rest is history. :)

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

The font is customized version of a font called Challet.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

The client wanted colors to be somehow exclusive and elegant so I had couple ideas on my mind. Actually two: one sky/royal blue and second luxury orange/brown.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

When we put all things together I think one day.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

The biggest challenge was creating nice 3d looking infinity sign in a great perspective that gives depth to the logo.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Nothing indeed, I m fully satisfied with it, and Client is too so the job is done for me.
