Interview With Ungureanu Claudiu

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Toystand represents a toy on a hat stand. A shop, place for toys specially created for annoying, fractious, picky kids, hence the expression of the toy. You know the kids, especially that annoying age when they are very picky and get bored of every car, doll and any toy you try to buy to satisfy them…they were my inspiration. also, I went to vintage from start, because the old toys are more mysterious and maybe interesting.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Illustrator cs5, tablet.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Sketching with the tablet pen.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Custom, drawing type.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Vintage style, this was easy.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

1 day.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Achieving the expression, that picky face.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

No, i like it. i was thinking to change the bottom of the stand but i think it works great like this too.
