Interview With Ungureanu Claudiu

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

I love the toaster, and that crunchy bread that comes out from the great kitchen tool.

So, one meaning is related to kitchen, bread, toaster. And another one, more subtle is about “cooking heart” – a more special meaning, related to relationships, maybe long-term ones…living together, killing each other – destroying heart…trying to evade, to get out, to leave, to be free…haha, maybe this meaning is too detailed..if you know what i mean.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Heart, lol.

Illustrator cs5, tablet, pencil, no brains:p this was just for the heart and with heart…

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Again, heart and again heart.

Kiddin’, it took a sketch, on paper with a pencil, a white beautiful one, from Paris, Louvre…white, with a black rectangle on it, very cool stuff… and getting back to tablet-illustrator cs5…saving…heart…again heart…

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

A cool type, hand-made…custom type.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Heart is red, can you put another color for the heart?…

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

One shot, this was heart dealing, like 1-2 hrs – a moment of magic.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

There was no challenge, it was inspiration and that is all.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

No, i wouldn’t change anything, maybe the past.

Maybe myself, maybe the world, maybe the heart…

I am too poetic sometimes…
