Generous Coach

Interview With Stuart L. Crawford

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

The important message was the importance of ‘people’ to Generous Coach – they come first. In this case the “G” formed a character with open arms nicely, which is played upon for the logomark.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Illustrator CS5.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

As always, pen & paper then onto the Mac.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Modified Caslon and Times New Roman.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

The client loved green and it fitted nicely with the logo and it’s message.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

Many days of refining from the initial concept.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Balancing the subtlety and clarity of the character. It wasn’t to be obvious, but on the other hand not to be hidden.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Not currently – very happy with the outcome.
