Interview With Jeiji

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Sittin’ around. I think I was playin’ DS. It opens and closes, kinda’ like a book. Then, I thought about how an open book’s folds kinda’ look like the arches of a “B”. So I took action sketching.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Pencil and paper, then on to the computer. You know the drill.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Deutsch – Gothic.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Just went with old-ish book-y colors.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

Prolly like… what 3 hours? After completion, there’s always a time of trimming.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Trying to keep the book shape recognizable, but still keeping it from being too skinny. It’s kinda’ vertical. Then equally as hard was finding the right font. Probably took like 2 hours.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

I think I might make it wider. If I start to hate it enough…
