Interview With Ancitis
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
This actually was very easy as I was working with a client who needed a logo for his wine selling business.
The logo had to portray the highest quality wine, be elegant and sophisticated.
Anyway this isn’t the final variation, cause the client chose a different version that will suit his business more.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Yes, I started with drawings on paper and only then moved to computer.
Unfortunately I’ve lost the sketches somewhere so it isn’t possible for me to show the process this time.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
The font is self made.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Of course I knew that I’ll use red for this one but at first I actually used a bit different red color tone – a more brighter one.
After getting some comments from other designers I decided to change to a more darker tone which I think really does make it look better.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
More than 2 days, because of the font creation and the changes I did after the very first design.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Create something original, very easy to read and remember but in the same time keep it simple.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
No. I really like it as it is.
