Wheelie Quick Couriers

Interview With Andrew Shumacker

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

As the brief was very broad – I doodled some ideas down on paper and let the creative process start…

The bike icon was something that the client wanted to incorporate into the logo, so the whole process was fairly straight forward.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Pen and paper…which created the idea of the bicycle icon flowing from the two ‘e’ letters. I then moved into illustrator to research suitable fonts and bike designs.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Belizio Medium.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

To reflect the eco nature of the business, green has been used throughout.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

1hr – although I spent longer on the project, creating 5 initial designs.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Flowing the bike icon into the ‘e’ characters without distorting the text too much.

I often see logo’s that are too complicated – this makes the most important part of the logo…text, very hard to read.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

No, the client is very happy, therefore I am.
