Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
As part of a new branding launch, this logo was designed to be printed at small sizes on labels, apparel and of course, yoga matts.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
As designers we were challenged by the client to capture the spirit of the “great horned owl landing.” This concept incorporated smooth, simple lines to reflect the styling of native american art while still capturing a contemporary feel that would appeal to suburban women (the target demographic). Color palette needed to be flexible as it could change based on products and media channels.
