Featured LogoInterview With Kit Peverley
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Company is a virtual office assisting local businesses with customer support facilities. The Client I was working for wanted something centered around communication and speech bubbles seemed the obvious choice.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I always sketch out my designs on paper. This way I can get my ideas out quickly nefore going on to the computer. This project was no different.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
A nice simplistic Arial Rounded :)
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I really wanted bright and friendly and the client had mentioned in the brief a leaning towards vivid colours.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Its taken about 2 weeks from initial sketches to final design.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Many of the initial ideas I had didnt work because of the simplicity of the company name so finding a graphical element that tied in with the 3 letters was probably the most difficult part of the process.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
If I dwell on what I would change about every design I had done I would probably still be working on the first design. Sometimes its best to just move on to the next project.

I’m sorry you’re disappointed with my decision to feature this logo, Alex.
While there are obviously other similar concepts out there (like the one you supplied) I don’t have any reason to believe that Kit copied the design. This is the first time I’ve ever seen the concept.
Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts.

Looks like (inspired from) my logo for youth forum which was selected as logo of the month and then competed against 11 others for logo of the year…
