Interview With Rolando Bouza
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
I represented the commerce relationship with the crossing lines. Everything started when I was playing with the letter T (from Tapioca) and I crossed 2 T.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Photoshop.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
As usual, I started directly on my computer. I only draw sketches when I have time (and the client a budget) and that rarely happens!
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Scala Sans Black + italic.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Blue means commerce for me. And the light blue and gray transmit a clean and honest feel.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
13 hours.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
I was feeling this project, I was happy about it cause client gave me complete freedom, so my biggest challenge was not to charge it with unnecessary elements. Part of that challenge was that, even if I was totally free I had to remind the logo wasn’t for me!
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
It’s been only 6 hours since I designed it, so right now I don’t see anything I can change. When I design a logo and I finish a proposal, I try not to look at it during a few days, so when you see it again you are not looking at the abstract idea you had in mind for the logo, but the result.
