Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The brief said:
“The supplements name is Sveltra and our target market will be roughly 65% female and 35 % males. Ages 30 -45 years old. We are looking for a design that is slightly on the feminine side that is not going to alienate our male clientele.”
That’s how we came up with a soft icon to serve as a solution to the female side and a color match that will be interesting to males.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
We designed the logo with Adobe Illustrator CS5.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
We came up with more than 15 paper sketches for the flower icon, going through different tendencies and finally took the most simple and subtle.
After this we started to digitalize the brand and make a type selection for a script.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
The font used in this logo is Black Jack with a light modification.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
The color was decided thanks to the brief that gave us the chance to work with a neutral pattern that will work for males and females.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
From the briefing side to the final result of the logo, we took about 1 week to came up with the right idea.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The biggest challenge was to serve as a functional solution bot for men and woman’s.
