Interview With Conan Lefevre
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
From a lotus plant. The lotus plant has been used a lot by the company for symbolic reasons – and this brought the plant and current logo together.
The leaves / pedals are taken from another eternale logo (eternale alliance – just added / thanks) – where the e and the a overlap.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Photoshop.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I had a pretty good idea what I was going to do when I started – so I went right in to Photoshop.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Avant Garde.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Pre-determined.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Couple hours – wasn’t given a lot of time.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
I knew what I wanted to do once I started and the direction I wanted to go – tried to make it as unique as possible while trying to avoid it looking generic – or something that has been done a 1000 times before.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I’m pretty happy with it – which might be a first.
