Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Wanted to use an image of a typewriter in a simplified fashion, but personalise it.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Illustrator CS5.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Research & Brainstorming —> sketches —> illustration in CS5 —> typography experimentation —> combination of type and image —> refinement.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Archer Medium & Bold.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Colour inspiration was taken from the current site, but refined to a choice of one or two colours.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
4-5 hours?
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Getting the level of subtlety right between being able to see the face and looking at it like simply a typewriter.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
No, pleased with it at the minute.
