Interview With Gladstone Media Inc
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Roast Fine Foods is a local Toronto butcher shop featuring organic, naturally-raised, and hormone-free meats and products. Our approach is a mix between 1950s diner style and clean modern design. The vintage style of the typography is juxtaposed with industrial elements.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator CS6
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
We started off playing around with onscreen ideas, and took client sketches.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Bebas
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
We wanted to pay homage to the tradition of local boutique butcher shops.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
A couple weeks.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
It’s always making sure the client is happy with the direction, as well as our team.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
We love it.
