Interview With Christoph Schubert
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
We wanted to have a logo which would work like a plastic sticker, or a stamp, or a sticker, as the need was to place it everywhere. The company behind it is strongly connected to pop music, and the places, where the logo will appear cannot be planned, especially the background, background color and more. So we started to design the logo in basic geometric forms.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator, only.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Techno, a very old font, designed in the 1980s.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
In reality we did not decide. the logo could, in the end, appear in different color variants, the strong and basic form allows a color change without losing the simularity (tested!). Blue is one of the colors which do not appear in too many cases when pop music comes to us, so we decided to have blue as main color. Interesting: In most other branches blue is used in logos in high frequencies, anyhow, but not in music.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?
This early sketch shows the logo which had been selected on the first stage, Placed on a web draft. Later it was exchanged because of the missing clear dividing element logo vs. background. It was bought, too, so perhaps it will be in use for another purpose soon.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
more than 3 weeks (many releases).
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
To have a sticker-like form which looks ok.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Perhaps I would prefer another main color. But as the color is exchangeable …
