Interview With Breno Bitencourt
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The idea came from referrals that the client brought me, and ideology of the project Plexus diversity of games, to be directed to a young audience. I believe that is exactly what the right tries to conveying, plurality, joy, fun.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Ilustrator and Adobe Photoshop CS5.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Lately I’ve been doing my sketches straight into Photoshop and then finishing in illustrator, and it was with Plexus. After that I conceived the idea / concept on paper, I drew in Photoshop, illustrator and finished on. I presented a version for the client, and that came after that is the final after eliminating some unnecessary details, adjustments legibility of typography. etc.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
The font used in the logo Plexus is customized, it was created by me especially for this project, the previous version had a different x, the more interesting and less readable, just opting for readability.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I tried to choose a very wide range of colors, without making it too childish. Bright colors, multiple, is a youthful atmosphere, playful, I think it could be otherwise.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
About two weeks working on the three proposals I made for this client, I believe it took from 3 to 4 days developing and refining this proposal.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
I think the big challenge is always forward you exactly what the client wants their brand is, and yet be a right interesting from the standpoint of the designer, and captivate your audience. Of these three goals I believe I’m waiting for the third takes place with the launch of new website that has all the design done by me, and the programming team Plexus Puzzles.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I do not know if I would change something, I believe that is the maximum I could have done. It’s all very fresh in my mind yet, is a fairly recent project. I participated with the customer’s choice of the final proposal, and we are in a cruel doubt, because in fact, all three very pleased with myself and my client. I believe that if there is any doubt regarding Plexus is in relation to that choice, maybe the other proposals could be as good as this, or even better. It’s something I’ll never find out. :)
