Peach State Hearing Aid Centers

Interview With Zach Arvidson

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

The name of the business makes it obvious that it is located in Georgia. I needed to show what the business did in the mark. I decided to use a behind-the-ear hearing aid as the leaf and stem of the peach to show that it is a hearing care practice.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator CS5.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

I knew right away that I wanted to incorporate a hearing aid into the mark. I had to sketch a few different variations before I moved to the computer.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Gotham.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

The orange and green were necessary to show the peach. I used the black to make the other colors pop so the hearing aid could be more easily recognizable.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

Working off and on, about 3 days.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Figuring out how to incorporate the hearing aid with the peach.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

I like it just the way it is.
