Interview With Sneh Roy
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Children are naturally curious and always poking around trying to discover new things. Okipoki symbolises that natural curiosity and the discovery of wondrous things in a child’s world. “Poki” poking the “P” hints at mischief and fun.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I first sketched the character “Poki” on paper. I scanned and traced him in Illustrator before coloring and finalizing him there.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Love Letters.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
The blue and brown is fresh and modern, it just seemed to blend well.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Approximately 8 hours.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Tweaking the letter “P” post design and placements, to get the right “poke” effect was my biggest challenge. I spent almost 2 hours just on the “P”.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
None :-)
