Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Neolica is an independent producer of electricity from wind power. The idea was to create a negative space with a windmill between the letters O and L to develop the most important aspect of the corporate identity.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Illustrator CS4.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Pen, paper and illustrator, the negative space of the logo forms the ‘hidden message’.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Franklin Gothic.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
The color scheme was already decided by the business of the company and the baseline “wind capture”.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
That was about a week or so…
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
In this case, the negative space was the bigger challenge to create the logo.
