Interview With Nelo
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
I have to make a typeface for one of my University subjects and then I start playing with my surname, nelo.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Yes, I start with a paintbrush for doing the first lines of the typeface, then I made all the alphabet. Scan, pencil, scan, pencil… that was the design process, lots of paper.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Handmade :)
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I want something simple, so what’s better than grey ;)
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
2 weeks, part time, I have to work to live…
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
It’s my freelance business, it’s me… It’s more difficult to make a logo for yourself than for an X company, always it’s more difficult designing for yourself.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
