Logo Details

Interview With Java Acosta
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Well the concept for this company is to transform your backyard into a work of art so it came pretty effortless after a few sketches trying to merge the two ideas into one piece.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
After a few hr. brainstorming, and a couple of sketches on paper, then good old Illustrator :)
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Garamond.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I think that black and white really gives this logo the handmade/calligraphy vibe to the logo, which was the initial intent.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
A couple of days, I had a grasp on the concept pretty fast on this one.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
To create the artsy vibe combined with a sophisticated/professional look that the company desired for their image.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Well this is actually the revised version of the logo, i changed a couple of small details from the original one i created for them some years ago, small tweaks that you take into consideration after you gain a bit more experience in the field.
