Interview With Angus Griffin
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The idea was to bring across a direct but subtle link to actual photography, whilst at the same time bring through the idea of multiple aspects – travel photography takes you all over the world, so therefore different colour lines representing different places around the world / different types of photography.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
All done in Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
With this one I went straight to computer … I had the idea in my head already so it was just a question of creating it!
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
All Klavika – bold and regular.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
With travel photography, you often see skies, so blues and teals felt right :)
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Not too long … from beginning to end a few hours.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Making it feel abstract whilst still keeping the idea of a camera body.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
No, don’t think so.
