Interview With Mark Sims
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
I originally wanted to focus on the name of the company itself ‘Manna’ and create a logo based around the concept of manna seeds. However, it became obvious that this alone meant the logo was hard to place as having anything to do with nutrition.
Leaves are synonymous with nutrition and it seemed like an obvious fit. I was still able to incorporate a connection with the manna seeds by having 6 of them forming the stem of the leaf. 6 seeds were used as a connection to the 6 main nutrient groups: carbohydrates, fats, minerals, protein, vitamins, and water.
