Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Malcolm Paicific is New Zealand’s largest immigration consultancy. I wanted a logo that expressed a South Pcific feel with a confident professional look. This is reflected in the forms and colour palette, with greenstone being significant to indigenous New Zealanders.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Illustrator and Photoshop.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
We put together a brand strategy first, then I went to sketches with pen and paper. From there I created roughs using illustrator.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Greenstone being significant to indigenous New Zealanders. : green and grey.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
2-3 weeks.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Marrying corporate professionalism with people friendly pacific feel.
