Interview With JoJo Marion
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
I took the name & the clients background (spent a lot of time in Colorado) & put them into this logo. I was going for a throwback logo with a current feel. The company makes custom motorcycles, as well as custom metal work. There will be a lot more branding in the near future.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
The logo was made in Illustrator, the image .png you have was saved in photoshop!
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I always start with a pen/paper – mostly doodles just to get my mind right & try to create a starting point. It is mostly just sketching & writing out my ideas – I then go directly into illustrator and begin!
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Black and Yellow were the color scheme the client and I came up with to begin the process. Just a personal choice between client & designer.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The wolf itself took me forever – it took a while to get it right, and even after the majority of the logo came together – i would still go back & tweak the wolf.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Not yet, but I am sure there will be some tweaks I wish I had made in the future.
