Interview With Narendra Keshkar

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

I got this idea while I was busy in research and brainstorming for a printing firm’s logo.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Illustrator CS3.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

After getting initial brief I started research process which continued up to 10 days. After that I started brainstorming and conceptualization and I got this idea.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

I used Aller Normal & Aller Light.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Client insisted for vibrant color scheme as it is an printing firm, so I decided to give it more then two color and finally presented this solution.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

It took me around 25 days to complete this project from briefing to final presentation.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

The biggest challenge was to retain its uniqueness and freshness while using lemon symbol. I suggested that there are not need to use lemon but client’s preference was to use lemon symbol. So I used lemon symbol in different way to avoid cliche.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Right now I don’t know but if it comes about my preference I would choose to play with type. If I were the client then I would select single or two color typographic logo.
