Interview With McGuire Design
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Killerss concept originally came from wanting to do an RSS feed about killers that would become a community alert website.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I do try always want to start from paper and pencil, I feel that is the way great ideas really come and that’s the way I was taught.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Yanone.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I choose subtle blue for the background to relate to water. Mainly I like to show logos in gray scale format so you can focus more on the concept.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?
Here was the final pencil sketch rendering of the logo.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
I would probably say 8 hours when all said and done.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The biggest challenge I faced was time and also getting the curves right. That’s why it was great collaboration between Viktor (Voxsix) and myself.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Right now I can’t think of any.
