Interview With McGuire Design

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Killerss concept originally came from wanting to do an RSS feed about killers that would become a community alert website.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

I do try always want to start from paper and pencil, I feel that is the way great ideas really come and that’s the way I was taught.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

I choose subtle blue for the background to relate to water. Mainly I like to show logos in gray scale format so you can focus more on the concept.

Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?

Here was the final pencil sketch rendering of the logo.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

I would probably say 8 hours when all said and done.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

The biggest challenge I faced was time and also getting the curves right. That’s why it was great collaboration between Viktor (Voxsix) and myself.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Right now I can’t think of any.
