Interview With Juan Abad
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Since filmmaking and graphic design were two things I am very passionate about, I wanted to combine the two in a logo. Created this logo of a camera and two paint pallets for “reels”.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
AI CS3.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I started with paper, pen, and some brainstorming. I knew I wanted a camera in the logo, so I just built off of that.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Valencia.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I went with B&W for a “professional” look. While adding a little of bold colors to make it “fun”.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
About a month.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Intergrating the pallets as “reels” with the “newer” camera.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I would change anything. It’s a pretty solid logo.
