Interview With Stuart L. Crawford

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Primarily focusing on a typographic approach, the logomark itself is a combination of the J and G.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Illustrator CS5.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Pen + Paper = many, many doodles. Jumped into illustrator to refine.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Based upon AT Sackers Gothic

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Simple B&W to keep with the style and aim of minimalism.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Keeping the focus on the simplicity of the type, whilst creating an aspect that can be reproduced on it’s own as a logomark/watermark in it’s own right.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Nope. Very happy with the outcome.
