Interview With Denis Wong
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The name of the company is a combination of 2 words, instant and technology. The idea was to use something instant, fast. The client suggested to use a running man. I just took this and push it a little further by tie the running man to a technology symbol, hence the chip.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator. Yes.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I started with some sketches on paper. Once i nailed the direction, i move straight to Illustrator.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Neo-sans.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I just thought blue and dark gray were good colors for this particular logo. It relates well to the IT industry.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
1 whole day. My first proposal was spot on.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Making the running man looks like he is really running by using the wires on the chip.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Nope. I think it’s perfect as it is now.
