Interview With ANTFM Designs
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The client let me have complete creative control over the design and concept. When she told me the name I researched the words separately and wanted to do a fun and clever design. The idea of a train was kind of obvious for “Gravy Train” so I decided to think about a different approach. The piggy bank idea popped into my head and I just went for the idea. Client is very happy and I exceeded her expectations.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
When I had the idea I did did a very rough sketch at work in illustrator. Emailed myself the idea to perfect and work on late night.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Client had a few in mind so we settled on Century Gothic.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
Went for a cool color and this one just seemed right. Open to other blues possibly.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
A few hours. Was in the zone.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The perspective! Once i started I had to get it right. It may still be a little off but I think it works.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
A few things possibly, like maybe track detail, but possibly over time i may change things for my own curiosity.
