I needed to come up with an idea for a Twitter app competition on IncSpring ( I won..by the way). Anyhow it’s was Autumn here so there’s leaves everywhere…then the strangest thing happened…a little finch landed next to me on the leaves and started to walk around me…I’m not kidding… it’s then I had the BINGO! moment you see before you.

Yes, I’ll always start with the old trusty sketches first…sometimes sketched out on the back of shopping dockets…sad I know. Now I have the Roll Royce of sketch books “Dot Grid Book”,it a pretty thing my friends. Once I’ve nutted out an concept I like, I’ll take it to Illustrator and put the puppy together.

As I wanted a environmental tone to the design i chosen an earthy color palette.

To come up with the concept took 3 days, the design itself was about half a day.

Always the biggest challenge in logo design is coming up with something that provokes a response, that is unique and above all else.
