Interview With Valentina Ronco
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
We needed to synthesize our mission as a company: because we are a small group of designers and journalists doing food publishing projects (books, magazines, recipe brochures) we decide to combine the fish with the gourmet accessories in a table: the fork, the spoon and the knife, all as one element.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
First, pen and paper. Then, color tests in the computer with about six other options.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
It was all about appetite- appeal combinations. We just thought it was the right combination… a very emotional and instinctive way of deciding.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
About two days…
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The demanding of the company for quality.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
No. We love it and we belive our fish has its own personality.
