Interview With Sasi Bhasskaran

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Elak is a resort situated in the middle of woods. The architecture is 100 years old and reflects the colonial type. So I thought of giving it a colonial/Victorian style look.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Yes, started with pencil on paper then executed in computer.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

The base font was Baskeville Normal for the word Elak, but edited to bring the final look. Also Tranjen Pro is used for the tagline.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Since the resort is surrounded with woods, I went for Green.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

Four days.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Bringing the classy, colonial appeal.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

May be, I would relook a bit on color.
