Doorstep Dairy

Interview With Philip Meissner

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Tried to combine the concepts of dairy products and home delivery. I used a retro typeface to remind people of the the “good ole days”.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Illustrator CS 4.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Lots of sketches of delivery trucks didn’t work out. Landed on using simple shapes to illustrate a home.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Metroscript Alphabet Soup and United by House Industries

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

The light blue and white best represents milk. And the warm grey is a great neutral color.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Combining 2 distinct typeface styles. I think it works, but I tried a lot of options.
