Interview With Denis Wong
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Crowds and Clouds is a tech start-up targeting application development for social networks. The idea came from the name itself, crowds and clouds. By merging the heads of the 3 human icon, a cloud was formed. Social group usually have people with common interest. So, the 3 heads together represents a connection (network) of people with common interest.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe InDesign. Yes, I did. I usually use InDesign for most of the stuffs I create. It is also compatible with Adobe Illustrator which I sometime use as well.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I started with some sketches on paper. Once I had enough ideas to work with, the next step was to start executing on my computer.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
I used Calibri because of it’s soft rounded edges which goes well with the icon.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
It was pretty obvious from the start that blue and white were going to be the final colors because of the name.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
Less than a day actually. I got it right with the first proposal.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
Not a thing.
