Interview With Logomad

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

An etched building skyline of Atchison with the words “City of Atchison Kansas.” A bust of aviatrix and Atchison native Amelia Earhart replaces the “O” in “Atchison.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Illustrator CS 3.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Direct to computer illustration.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Trojan pro.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Because it’s fresh.

Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?

Clients comments:

This designer did an outstanding job of responding quickly, giving us tons of options and edits until we felt comfortable with the design, and delivering really superb work. We appreciated his patience most of all. There were several times when something was “lost in translation,” but he was always polite, patient, and professional with us. Also, because our project depended on final approval by a committee, we couldn’t move as fast as we’re sure most designers would prefer. This designer, though, stuck it out with us and as a result, we have a really sick logo and we’re very, very pleased with the designer and crowdSPRING

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

One month after selection because I have given the clients unlimited revisions.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

I was very excited to create this logo.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
