Interview With Rolando Bouza

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

Based on a drop image (represents the liquid fuels) and the process of ecological refining is represented with the position of the drops creating an organic motive that reminds of a flower.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Photoshop.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Helvetica Neue + Meta Pro.

Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?

You can see who the idea of the drop evolved.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

40 hours.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Not to look like the BP logo (love it!)

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

Maybe the color scheme. My first proposal had some green and blue in it, but the client decided that the dark brown was the color he loved.
