Interview With Bruno Pitzalis
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
I felt the need to find a way to join the initials of my name and surname in a unique shape. So I’ve started working around with both letters till I found the right way.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
The basic shape was made with Adobe Illustrator, using the 3D tool, then I’ve imported every single parts of the logo in Adobe Photoshop where I took care of lighting, shadowing and material sense.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Obviously you can’t start directly using digital tools. At the beginning of creative process it’s easier to use a pencil and a huge white page to come out with solutions.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
I didn’t really used an exixting logo. I came out with an original shape from letters B & P.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
My personal logo doesn’t have a color scheme, but a real golden texture.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
A week or so in my spare time, wich means no sleep for about 7 days.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Combining my initials letter in a nace shape.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I might decide to make a platinum version one of this night.
