Birdy Bee

Birdy Bee

Interview With Jeiji

Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?

I wanted to put a bird and a bee in a logo together, and kind of fell in love with the bee line idea.

Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.

Adobe Photoshop CS2… JUSTKIDDIN’! Adobe Illustrator CS4.

Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?

Yes, quite a few sketches, actually, and then I took it to Illustrator.

Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?

Calibri. Though I used Colonna MT at first.

Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?

Just went with nature.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?

About 3 hours.

Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?

Keeping the bird made from the bee line simple enough to use as a logo, but still with enough detail to make it obvious that it was a bird.

Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?

I still might be able to make that bird a little simpler.
