Interview With B2rhom
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
At first, I was thinking of making this logo, based on my real name, which is Ibrahim Basree. I started by merging the “I” with the “B” to form some kind of eyebrows + eyes. Then I said that nobody knows me by the name “Ibrahim Basree” .. so I changed it to Barhom Basri, in which some people are used to see my name as “ Barhom Basri”. Then I have developed the idea of eyebrows + eyes .. by changing the eyebrows to a real hair. Then I used the letter “B” to form the eyes. (if you tilt your head a little bit, you will see the letter “B”
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Adobe Illustrator CS6.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
First I started with a pen and a paper, then I moved to my computer ,, and finished this piece. Since this was my first logo, it took me 6 papers to get to what I had in mind. I never sketch stuff down, but making a logo is really difficult to just draw it on you computer right away! I’m a graphic designer and I have designed many photo-manipulations, website layouts, and other stuff .. without sketching them! But making a logo was really hard to make it on your computer right away!
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I did not color my logo, since it will be used on arts.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
It took me about 15 minutes to create it (after completing the sketching process)
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Sketching! because I never sketched stuff down and it was really hard. But I learned a lot of stuff while sketching. I think it was really difficult, because I never sketched stuff down .. but I’m pretty sure, by practicing .. it will be easier.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I might change the colors only. Because I didn’t color it!
