Interview With Martin
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The brand name is B2G. The idea came after series of sketches. The current Logo uses the letter B turned around the number “two” (roman style: “ II “) and the letter G. So logo came from => B2G => B II G => what you are looking at the moment.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Photoshop CS5.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I always do the rough idea on paper with a pen. I even have a specific pen which I love. Every time I get this pen I start sketching things even just for the sake of it. I normally live in Sofia, Bulgaria but last month I went to London to get this pen. It is just the perfect pen for me. So for the this logo I started this way as well. I sketched series of shapes and combinations. Then I scanned it and done it vector in Photoshop. Added some effects and different types of color.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
No fonts. I drew the letters myself.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
The owners of the company are two young girls who mentioned in a conversation that they both actually love purple so we all decided that purple is the color that will represent them the best way. I actually chose a gradient of purple to make it more natural.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?
Well it took about 40 sketches before coming to the final version.

Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
About 2 weeks for the initial design and then one more week for tweaks.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Figuring out that 2 can actually be represented with || (roman style) not only with the Arabic “2.”
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I think it stands great and represents the brand. It has its own unique shape and coloring and will suit the company in the best possible way. At this stage I would not change anything beside adding glam effects to it where necessary.
