Interview With Lukasz Ruszel
Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Asun Asyar is an internet shop offering high quality cashmere products. Its special feature is that It offers not only off-the-shelf clothing, but also allows clients to customize products they would like to buy. This element is an essential part of the brand, as even the name comes from an abbreviation of “AS UNique AS You ARe”.
Cashmere comes from goats, fingerprint represents uniqueness/personalization.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
Pen and paper always comes first. Dozens or hundreds sketches later I convert the best ideas into vector format and further develop them on the computer screen.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Lettering has been created from scratch for this project.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
It’s hard to for me to recall it now. Although, I’m pretty sure I wanted to get something woolly with a spark of energy.
Q:Do you have any sketches of the logo in the early stages?
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
About two months.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
The hardest part was of course solving the task of combining a goat with the idea of personalization. Once I came up with the fingerprint concept it was pretty straightforward.
