Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
The client wanted a fun logo that represents their business which sells fish and fish tanks. I combined both items in the design.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
I always use Illustrator to design logos.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
I work good with the pen tool in Illustrator so I started laying it out digitally.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Ageone Bold and Bastardus Sans.
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I used aqua colors and added orange to add fun to the logo. Besides it’s a color that you find in fish as well.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
This final design was a results of several variations. The total amount of time was around 4 hours.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
This was a logo I designed for a contest and it won. This was the biggest challenge; to beat other designers and fully meet client’s expectations. It did! The client was extremely happy.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
I would change the main font with another. I’m not a big fan of it.
