Q:Where did the idea for this logo come from?
Amanda Kern is a new up and coming photographer and multi talented artist. This logo is part of a set of branding elements that will complement her work and identity.
Q:What application did you use to design this logo? E.g., Illustrator.
I used Adobe Illustrator to construct this logo.
Q:What was your design process for this logo? I.e., Did you start out with pen and paper then move to the computer?
A series of sketches and concepts were presented to the client in as I narrowed the direction she wanted to go with.
Q:What font(s) were used in the logo?
Gotham (different weights).
Q:How did you choose the color scheme for the logo?
I researched the clients Pantone color for her birthday, then it was complemented with two more colors to complete the branding.
Q:How long did it take to complete the logo?
It was a process of research, initial concepts, and revisions that lasted a couple of weeks.
Q:What do you feel was your biggest challenge in designing the logo?
Designing a brand that although it’s initially for her photography, it with branch out to a variety of disciplines such as design and writing.
Q:Now that the logo is finished, is there anything you would change about it?
This is a very new brand, but nothing has being changed so far. In fact, more branding elements, such as other versions of the logo for web purposes, had been added to complement Amanda Kern branding.
